On August 25, 2026, Mary Johnston Hospital began its CPE Extended Class for this year. We have welcomed five beautiful, distinct interns — each from different fields and faith traditions — into this sacred work. CPE is not just a course. It is a calling. A calling to stand with people when they are at their most vulnerable.
Dear interns, as you walk the halls of Mary Johnston, remember this: Your presence is more powerful than your words. You bring comfort — layer by layer, presence by presence.
